Extended Opening Hours
In keeping with the Government’s intentions to promote extended access to patients, the Long House Surgery offers additional evening surgeries between 18-00 and 19-45 hrs twice weekly. These are on each Tuesday and every alternate Wednesday/Thursday evenings. The pattern may vary slightly over the summer period.
The purpose of offering the above service is to enable those patients who find it difficult to attend the surgery during existing surgery hours to be able to make a routine appointment with a doctor later in the evening.
Please note, the surgery will close, and telephones will be switched to Out of Hours Service at 18-00hrs as at present.
In the event of an emergency or acute problem please phone NHS 24 on 08454 24 24 24
During the new evening surgeries there will be no access to a Practice Nurse, and we will be unable to perform some routine blood tests and investigations. Patients may still have to return during normal routine surgery times if such tests are necessary.
When you present for your evening appointment the Surgery door may be locked for security purposes. Please ring the bell and someone will let you in.
Holidays The Surgery will be closed on the following dates for PUBLIC HOLIDAYS. 2nd & 5th April, 3rd May, 20th Sept. We are also closed on the following dates for staff training, 17th Feb, 31st March, 26th May 1st Sept and 24th Nov. Please call NHS 24 on 08454 24 24 24 and in the event of an emergency please dial 999. Please ensure you have enough medication to last over the holiday period
